Welcome to Canvassed Memories! After months of work by teens Daniel and Michael (on Monday’s before Biology co-op) we are pleased to be up and running as of the end of December 2009, just in time to welcome 2010.
What Does the Name Canvassed Memories Mean?
Canvassed Memories has been a family project. While I have always been interested in art, especially in the beauty of color, it has only been in the past few years that this interest has been able to receive more attention. My husband has encouraged me to make my art available to others and has been the visionary for this endeavor. He has watched the facial expressions and attachment people have when a painting is done of a place special to them, of a place where they have emotional attachments and special memories. Hence, the name Canvassed Memories.
What Is To Be Found At This Website?
Currently the website has several features. It presents a portfolio of some of my paintings (done in oils or acrylics). Clicking on the Refresh icon will change the pictures in the sidebars. The Gallery has a slideshow of some of the portfolio, including slides of some paintings framed or unframed. The Products page is where note card sets of the paintings are described. This section is growing weekly. Other products include original framed paintings, matted prints, and framed matted prints. Custom commissioned work may also be ordered. These items will be available on the website in early 2010.
If you would like to contact me please click on the contact tab. I would be delighted to hear from you.
Enjoy!
